The reliquary holds tiny bone fragments of the twelve Apostles. The relics of Petrus and Paulus are positioned in the center on red velvet. Although he was not originally part of the circle of Apostles, Paulus is here referred to as such without question. The leading roles of Petrus and Paulus are emphasized by the arrangement.
