I'm leaving, but where to?

Silver coin "Persian monetary standard"

Silver coin

Paulus usually travelled on foot on his journeys. What kind of footwear did he wear? Perhaps a simple sandal (Solea) with a leather sole, similar to this one from Xanten?

The coin probably shows Jason (hero of the Greek mythological world) wearing a broad-brimmed hat (Petasos). Paulus too might have protected himself from the sun with such a head covering.
