I'm leaving, but where to?
The Acts of the Apostles (so-called Doré Bible)
Joseph Franz von Allioli, Gustav Doré
1875
Bibelmuseum der Universität Münster, Inv.-Nr. AmD63
The author of the Acts of the Apostles does not reveal his name. In the first sentence of the Acts of the Apostles, he addresses a Theophilus. To him, he refers to his first account. This, he says, dealt with the life of Jesus. Does one of the four Evangelists write here to Theophilus? Was it actually the Evangelist Luke?
