Openness and dialogue
The educational program follows an open, dialogue-oriented approach. At PAULUS, exhibition discussions are intended to be conducted on an equal footing. They replace guided tours in the form of lectures in a traditional classroom setting. The opening exhibition, "I am going, but where to?", focuses on the theme of communication. In addition to depictions of Paul communicating both orally and in writing, the exhibition also includes works such as Joseph Beuys' "Telephone S——Ǝ" (1974). Beuys' exploration of the roles of "sender" and "receiver" exemplifies this educational approach. PAULUS aims to connect social groups. The exhibition discussions are offered to individuals and groups, but especially to schools and other educational institutions. These public discussions, offered twice a week, are free of charge for visitors.

Interreligious mediation and inclusive principles
The PAULUS exhibition is designed to be accessible to all members of society. People of all faiths, as well as those without religious affiliation, are expressly welcome. Interfaith dialogues at the exhibition reflect this commitment. These dialogues involve several facilitators with diverse religious backgrounds. For us, inclusive engagement means enabling shared participation, for example, for people with and without disabilities, and fostering mutual enrichment. The team receives specialized training for these inclusive events. The program is developed and reviewed in close collaboration with the target groups themselves. Specialized communication techniques (audiovisual presentations, simplified language), assistive technology (FM system), and/or German Sign Language (DGS) interpreters are used at these events.
