Openness and dialogue
The Apostle Paul turned Christianity into a world religion. How did he achieve this? He engaged in dialogue with people! The museum follows this example: PAULUS seeks to enter into conversation with its visitors. Exhibition discussions and workshops do not aim to explain everything; rather, they help people formulate questions and explore personal meaning. People of all faiths are welcome, as are those with no religious affiliation. PAULUS offers inclusive programs for people with and without disabilities, fostering mutual enrichment.

Interreligious mediation and inclusive principles
For us, inclusive engagement means enabling shared participation—for instance, for people with and without disabilities—while also seizing the opportunity for mutual enrichment. The team receives specialized training for these inclusive events. The concepts are developed and reviewed in close collaboration with the target groups themselves. The events employ specific communication techniques (such as audiovisual media and Plain Language) and technical aids (like FM systems) or German Sign Language (DGS) interpreters.
Who belongs to a community? The question central to Paul—concerning Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Christ—serves as the starting point for a dialogue among Christian, Jewish, and Muslim perspectives. Two or three facilitators bring their respective perspectives into conversation with one another.

For Deaf and hearing visitors, with a DGS interpreter
Two guides present the exhibition in German Sign Language (DGS). A sign language interpreter translates for hearing participants. This enables a shared exchange that goes far beyond simply enjoying the art.

Sighted and non-sighted visitors tour the museum together. Audiovisual descriptions facilitate a genuine exchange. Particular emphasis is placed on what can be heard and touched within the exhibition. Free sessions for individual visitors
