I'm leaving, but where to?

Telephone S---------Ǝ

Joseph Beuys

1974

Two tin cans, one painted brown (Braunkreuz), string, label

LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur, Münster, Sammlung Manfred und Ingrid Rotert, Inv.-Nr. A-1387,2 LM

Beuys' tin can telephone playfully shows how communication can succeed. Sender and receiver turn toward one another, enabling dialogue and understanding. Good communication can thus shape and change.

The letters of Paul are also reflected upon, discussed, and passed on. This enables change. The willingness to engage in dialogue is a prerequisite for successful communication.
