An Epiphany is an appearance of the divine, which Paul also experienced. The artist relates the title to the appearances of the elements: light, water, and earth. The light of an artificial sun follows the actual position of the sun in Münster and changes daily.

It is a representation of nature that serves as a reminder of it while simultaneously remaining detached from it.

Artist Yoana Tuzharova describes her work as follows: The artificial sun is linked to the actual movement of the sun in Münster. The color of its light shifts throughout the day in accordance with the sun's astronomical position. Data regarding sunrise and sunset are calculated based on the location using NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) algorithms.

The light is updated daily via electronic signals, thereby gradually tracking the changing seasons. The work explores a form of presence that does not rely on immediate visibility. While the sun itself remains hidden as a source, it is experienced through traces of light, reflections, and temporal shifts. This creates a kind of artificial landscape.

This technical translation is not a copy of the natural phenomenon, but a transformation: astronomical data become electronic signals, which turn into light and, ultimately, into a spatial experience—an environment.

In this way, a connection is forged between the exterior and the interior, between cosmic rhythm and human-made space or architecture—without the ability to fully control it. What becomes visible is not the sun itself, but the relationship between nature, humanity, time, and space.
